Behind the Scenes: How We Filmed “Love it for a Lifetime”

Performance FInish

At Gat Creek, we believe a table should be more than a beautiful object in your home. It should be a part of your story, a place where memories are made, milestones are celebrated, and everyday life unfolds.

When we set out to make Love it for a Lifetime, our goal was to capture that truth. The right table is not just for today. It is for every chapter to come.

Turning a Showroom into a Film Set

This summer, we transformed our High Point showroom into a full movie set for the very first time. Twice a year, this space is filled with buyers and new product displays for Market. In between those shows, it usually goes quiet. But for one day, it was buzzing with lighting rigs, cameras, and a production crew.

We did a lot of preparation before the cameras rolled, but when the day came, there were no rehearsals. Our incredible actors improvised their way through each scene, bringing genuine warmth and spontaneity to every moment.

Making the Magic Happen

Telling a story that spans decades in one location takes some creativity. Our production team transformed the same table and space again and again, changing lighting, props, and wardrobe to reflect each stage of life.

One moment we were filming the joyful chaos of the baby years. The next, we staged a holiday dinner with glowing candles and the scent of apple pie in the air.

It took careful planning, quick thinking, and more than a few cups of coffee to make it all happen in a single day.

The Heart of the Story

This project was about more than creating a beautiful film. It was about showing the promise behind every Gat Creek piece. When we say our furniture is made to last, we mean it.

Love it for a Lifetime is more than a title; it is a reminder that great craftsmanship has a life far beyond the workbench.
