Made with local and sustainably harvested solid Appalachian hardwood. Kiln dried lumber is hand selected for grain and color characteristics. Built-to-order by a craftsperson who signs and dates the piece. Board-by-board finish process highlights the beauty of the wood. Catalyzed lacquer top coat forms a clear, efficient, highly-protective barrier with a close-to-the-wood feel.

- Classic styling highlighted by a captured raised panel headboard and a simple elevated moulding crown at the top of the headboard and footboard.
- Solid hardwood frame with metal locking system attaching side rails to bedposts.
- Slat roll and center support are supplied with queen, king and California king standard beds, single and double size standard beds are furnished with slat roll only.
- Solid poplar slat roll connected by nylon strapping installs without tools.
- Standard bed can be prepared in our shop for use with an adjustable bed.
- Storage beds: one large drawer on each side for double, queen, king and California king beds, single bed with one large drawer on one side only.
- Storage bed drawer boxes are made from solid ash wood and a solid ash three-ply bottom for a rattle-free fit.
- Dovetail joinery adds both strength and beauty to our storage bed drawer boxes.
- Storage bed drawers ride on undermount drawer glides contributing to a simple and clean appearance, rugged support of drawer contents, a positive feel to drawer opening and a soft close.
- Full extension drawer glides allow for top view access to the full depth of the drawer.
- No tools required for assembly/disassembly.
- All sizes available as a headboard only.

We purchased two Alison beds — one king and one queen. The king is seasoned cherry and the queen is painted a custom color. They both turned out beautifully. Gat Creek is so easy to work with. Their artisans are incredibly skilled and make furniture that will last generations.

We bought this headboard (only) two years ago and the two end tables to go with it. I love their furniture and these pieces are gorgeous. I bought my first Gat Creek furniture in the late 1980s when they had a retailer in Vienna, Virginia. Over time, I bought a dining room table with six chairs, a four-poster bed, end tables, bookcases, a China cabinet. I had to let it all go when we downsized two years ago --nothing worked in our 1950 Cape Cod. The only way I could do it was to promise myself to buy furniture that would fit, again, from Gat Creek. I hadn't looked at their stuff for years -- they have updated all their designs and their work is more beautiful than ever. I chose the Allison bed and the side tables because of the clean lines (which my old furniture did not have, it was a lot curvier). Not only does it dimensionally fit in this house, but it aesthetically is perfect. I do wish it was a little more economical, but it is definitely fine, hand-made furniture. I won't be parting with this furniture anytime soon!
