Pencil Post Bed - King
72233Originally, a canopy was an emblem of social station. In Byzantine and Medieval times, only the most priveledged had full canopies on their beds. During the Renaissance, canopies were used less exclusively. Canopy beds became poplar in the American colonies because they conserved warmth and provided privacy. Today, many people prefer to forgo the canopy altogether, so our canopy is optional.
